10 Rules of Engagement for HS RECON
- Don’t be that cheesy recruiter! Be yourself.
- Smile and relax
- Engage everyone
- Everyone is useful until proven otherwise
- Everyone has a piece to the puzzle
- You only get one chance to make a first impression…it better be a good one
- Take the time to necessary
- Listen
- Don’t interrupt
- Make notes of everything
- People, places, patterns, peculiarities
- Respect all people, signs and policies
- If the sign says not parking or no tabaco, obey it.
- Be humble and don’t talk about yourself
- It is better to ask than assume
- It is better to ask even if you already know
- Refer to the high school and students as, “Your school and your students.”
- Ask good questions, ask good questions, ask good questions!!!!
