“Purpose gives subordinates the reason to achieve a desired outcome. Leaders should provide clear purpose for their followers. Leaders can use direct means of conveying purpose through requests or orders.
Purpose: the why, importance, significance. Great teams have a common and agreed upon purpose. People are most motivated by their most significant purpose.
Finding their why or helping them find their why…their purpose, their reasons. Help them see what could be, what if…, what is possible. Listen and learn so you can truly support them to win.
